The Austrian Computer Science Day (ACSD) is an annual assembly that brings together computer scientists across Austria and beyond to improve visibility of the field and foster collaboration in research and teaching. For further information visit the website: https://acsd2021.aau.at
The application to the program is voluntary. The processing of the data for this purpose, thus, is based on the consent of the applicants by applying according to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a, b, f GDPR. In order to handle the application, we process the following data: salutation/title, first name, last name, organisation, email). These data will be passed on to the organizers of the Austrian Computer Science Days 2021 for the purpose of event planning and information transfer to the participants. In addition, we will forward the data mentioned to Informatik-Austria (https://www.informatikaustria.at/) for the sole purpose of providing information about future events of the Austrian Computer Science Day. It is possible to unsubscribe from further mailings at any time.
There will be a presentation of dissertation projects as part of the event. Students will send us a video recording in advance for this purpose. Depending on the recording, students might be seen themselves and will present the topic of the dissertation. The dissertation may already be published or will be published. These videos will be presented during the event and will not be made available on the website after the end of the event. Sending this material is voluntary. By doing so students agree to the presentation.
We will take screenshots here and there for documentation purposes. This also enables us to provide visual material to the sponsors. The images will be published on the website and used for public relations via social media and the website which will probably be archived at the end of 2021 and then these images will no longer be publicly accessible. For the duration of the fulfilment of the respective purpose or until the termination of legal disputes with the data subject, unless a longer retention period is provided for by law. You have a right of access to check whether and which personal data we have stored about you; a right to rectify your personal data that is incorrect, a right to erasure of your personal data that is not (any longer) processed in accordance with the law and, in this context, a right to restriction of processing. You also have a right to data portability. If the processing is based on consent, you have the right to revoke the consent you have given at any time without giving reasons. You have a right to erasure of personal data if you withdraw the consent on which the processing was based and there is no other legal basis for the processing. The lawfulness of the data processing up to the time of your revocation remains unaffected.
